We have lots to show and tell!  Here, Iain Johnson (Director of Technical Support) demonstrates some of the features of our SPECTRA X and SOLA SE light engines at our Photonics West 2016 exhibit in San Francisco.

This movie shows a two color (DsRed and GFP) time lapse image of C.Elegans. The GFP highlights the worm gut. The DsRed is a neuronal marker. Images were collected using triggered collection with a Photometrics HQ2 camera. The exposure time was 5mS, 30 2-color frames collected per second. The frame rate was limited by the camera (2×2 binning). The video was observed on a Nikon Ti microscope with 10x 0.5NA plan fluor objective.

A culture of male pig kidney epithelial cells (LLC-PK1 line) expressing mCherry and mEmerald fluorescent proteins fused to human histone H2B and alpha-tubulin, respectively. The video was captured using a Nikon Eclipse TE2000 microscope and Lumencor AURA light engine™ using Elements software.

Human osteosarcoma (bone cancer, U2 line) was transfected with mCherry and monomeric Enhanced Green Fluorescent Proteins to highlight H2B histone protein and transferrin receptor, respectively in a dual color video driven by a Lumencor AURA light engine TM on a Nikon Eclipse TE microscope with Elements Drivers.
